About Byrja
A Faroese contractor built around the craft. Our teams dig, cast and build for homeowners, municipalities, businesses and the Danish state.
Built around the craft, not around an office.
Our teams work with earth, concrete and timber every day, and over the years we have taken on work for most kinds of clients across the Faroe Islands.
We take on jobs of every size: from a drainage fix at a private home to larger contracts for a municipality or the state. The same thoroughness applies whether the invoice goes to a homeowner or a public authority.
- Private clients Homes, drainage, roofs
- Municipalities Sewer systems, public works
- Other companies Sites, car parks, buildings
- The Danish state Public contracts

Our own machines
Diggers, tipper and hook-lift trucks and a fleet of vans, all in Byrja colours.
Owning the machines means we plan around your job, not around a hire schedule, and the same people who dig the hole can haul the spoil away.
On the shirts, too
You will find the Byrja logo on the front of a local football team.
Supporting the clubs our crews and clients play for is part of being a local company.
